After his studies in design Colin Dinley decided to hitchhike to Italy and found himself in Sesto Fiorentino. Toscot was founded in 2001 concentrating the interest in lighting and innovative forms that could be matched with traditional methods of terracotta production. A company which offers unique lighting solutions that combine the manufacturing traditions of Tuscany with a strong design sense. These unique pieces, each one hand made locally are designed to be versatile and relate together. "Made by people" is a guiding theme, showing the capacities to always promote the qualities of the Tuscan territory through design. Each firm has an added value, Toscot one is the respect for traditional methods of manufacture, attention to detail and the close control of the whole production, allowing them to produce unique and refined pieces that combine well with the needs of today’s designers.
