LUMEN CENTER

Founded in 1976 in La-Fare-les-Oliviers (France) under the artistic direction of Gilles Derain.

Lumen Center, founded in 1976 in La-Fare-les-Oliviers (France) under the artistic direction of Gilles Derain, has a rich and fascinating history in the world of design and lighting.

The MCP wall lamp, created by Derain in 1979, is included in the permanent collection of the Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts.

Collaborations with well known French designers like Jean-Michel Wilmotte (Washington table lamp) and Jacques Adnet (Quadro table lamp) contributed to the Company's international success.

In 1992 it was acquired by a Milanese entrepreneur and it became Lumen Center Italia (LCI).

In recent years, LCI has developed many contemporary collections with a strong functional connotation.
